Camping With Your Dog

For many of us, dogs are more than pets, they're family. Bringing your furry companion along can make your camping experience even more memorable, but a little preparation can go a long way in ensuring a safe and enjoyable trip for everyone.

Before heading to the campground, make sure your dog is up to date on vaccinations and tick prevention medications. Ticks are common in many outdoor areas, especially during the warmer months, and can carry diseases that affect both pets and people. It's a good idea to bring a fine-toothed comb and perform regular tick checks, especially after walks through wooded or grassy areas.
