Rainy Day Blues? Roll the Dice and Get Creative!

A rainy day at the campground doesn't have to mean the fun stops! Sometimes all you need is a piece of paper, a couple of dice, and a little imagination to create something amazing.

This simple art activity is perfect for kids (and adults too!) and every masterpiece turns out completely unique.

What You'll Need:

  • 2 dice

  • Paper or canvas

  • Pencil

  • Markers, crayons, pencil crayons, or paint

How to Play

Step 1: Roll both dice.
Add the numbers together. This will determine how many lines you'll draw on your paper.

Step 2: Roll one die.
The number you roll determines how many circles you'll add.

Optional Challenge: Roll both dice again.
Add the numbers together to decide how many colours you'll use in your artwork. (Or simply use the highest number shown if you'd like an extra challenge!)

Now It's Time to Create!

Draw your lines and circles anywhere on the page. Once they're in place, use your imagination to fill each section with colours, patterns, stripes, dots, or anything else you can dream up. There are no rules—just let your creativity shine!

No two pieces will ever look the same, making this a fun activity to do with family or friends. Compare your masterpieces at the end and see how different they all turned out!

Rainy days are the perfect opportunity to slow down, get creative, and make something beautiful. We'd love to see what you create—share a photo of your finished masterpiece and inspire others to roll the dice and give it a try!

Happy creating!
