Camping Date Night

Summer has a funny way of flying by. One minute you're setting up the trailer for the season, and the next you're realizing there are only a few weekends left to enjoy it. Before the summer comes to an end, why not turn your next camping weekend into a little getaway for two?

The best part? You don't have to leave the campground. Sometimes the perfect date night is right outside your door.

Start With a Sunset Walk

Put your phones away, grab a drink and take a slow walk around the campground as the sun starts to go down. Take the long way, explore a trail, or find a quiet spot to sit and watch the sunset together.

It's amazing how much conversation happens when you're not rushing from one thing to the next.

Pack a Simple Picnic

You don't need anything fancy. Grab some cheese and crackers, fruit, sandwiches, your favourite snacks or even leftovers from dinner and make yourself a little picnic.

Bring a blanket, find a quiet spot and enjoy dinner somewhere other than your picnic table.

Make Your Favourite Drink

Whether it's a glass of wine, a cold beer, a fancy mocktail or your favourite iced coffee, make something special to enjoy together.

Camping is all about slowing down, so take your time and actually enjoy it.

Have a Campfire for Two

Once the sun goes down, light the campfire and get cozy.

Skip the usual campground chaos for one night and make it your own little date. Put on some music, roast marshmallows, tell stories and talk about your favourite camping memories together.

You could even make a little game out of it:

Take turns answering:

  • What's your favourite camping memory?

  • Where would you love to camp someday?

  • What's one thing you want to do together before summer ends?

  • What's your favourite thing about camping together?

Look Up

Once the fire starts dying down, turn off the lights, grab a blanket and look up.

Camping gives us something we don't always get at home—a chance to actually see the stars.

Find a comfortable spot, cuddle up and see who can spot the first shooting star.

…Don't Forget the Little Things

You don't need an expensive dinner reservation or an elaborate weekend away to reconnect.

Sometimes it's a walk, a campfire, a shared dessert and a couple of hours without distractions.

So before summer slips away, book the site, pack the snacks and plan a date night at camp.

Because some of the best memories aren't made somewhere fancy. They're made sitting beside the person you love, under the stars, with a campfire crackling nearby.
